Joachim Reuther opens another dry cleaning business for outerwear on Gerresheimer Straße in Hilden under the Sauberland brand.

After completing his apprenticeship, Joachim Reuther began working in his mother's business, continuing the curtain cleaning business. In this context, the first textile cleaning machine was purchased.

Move to the premises on Hoffeldstraße. Joachim Reuther completes an apprenticeship as a washer and ironer, gaining experience in, among other things, a large laundry in Düsseldorf and a laundry on the island of Sylt.

Hanna Reuther arrived in Hilden as a refugee from East Germany and started a curtain laundry. Back then, all the curtains were stretched. They were stretched onto large wooden frames with rows of pins to achieve the required size. These frames were built by Fritz Reuther. The frames stood in the family's attic bedroom in the Hilden Mill.
